Everyone who works for the Association does so as a volunteer. This allows us to learn leadership and management skills at a high level. Usually there are some minor assignments such as an opening or closing thought -\u00a0 a short, inspiring quote, reading, or similar; a couple of speeches of different styles; an education session (short or long); an impromptu session, that guests are welcome to join, but not pressed to speak if they don\u2019t want to; evaluative feedback sessions; and there is sometimes a business meeting.<\/p>

As some clubs have to pay for room hire, fees can vary, but usually they range between $45 to $100 per term. Our terms go from 1 August to 31 July, with fees reducing on a monthly basis.<\/p>

There are also higher-level meetings \u2013 a Club Connect full-day meeting is held in Qld thrice per term, and an Association Conference is held annually.<\/p>
In addition, webinar trainings are held every second month, and members have access to a training manual and a member\u2019s section of the website, packed with extra training materials. The Development Program is a structured pathway for growth, only available to those who have joined the Association.<\/p>
Members also receive mentoring from other members, and are encouraged to attend regularly, join speech contests, and take on leadership opportunities. A cyber-meeting is one that is conducted online. Usually, we use Zoom for our cyber-meetings.
